RE/Max, a major real estate agency network, wanted to redesign their website to help even more customers find the property of their dreams while retaining their organic visibility for local searches

Research & Planning

RE/Max was planning a redesign to update their website technology and UX for buyers, sellers, and realtors looking for the perfect property. It was critical to avoid any disruption to existing organic visibility and incoming traffic while also adhering to property, listing, and agent requirements across all 50 states. Additionally, the RE/Max team wanted to increase visibility for video assets, luxury listings, and specific properties such a pet-friendly listings, areas with high walking scores, and buyers looking for an easier commute.

Working with the brand and development teams, I created audits, recommendations, and best practices to guide new designs, templates UX, and technical features. I continued working with the development teams through the initial design, testing, and deploy process to ensure organic content, structure data, visual media, and redirects performed as expected.

Execution & Outcome

  • RE/Max was launched their updated redesign with minimal impact to existing rankings and visibility
  • Individual listings saw increased visibility from image galleries, video content, and targeted content optimizations
  • Organic discovery increased and drove more buyers directly to property listings for broader terms such as neighborhood names, property features, school districts, and other high-intent real estate topics
